I can't say enough about Dog Training Elite. After a couple of reactivity events with my dog, Rex, I was feeling a bit lost and not sure what to do. I researched boarding programs and I stumbled upon Dog Training Elite while researching online, and they were immediately responsive and kind. They went through all of their training options based on the experiences/issues I brought up, and made sure I had time to ask questions and understand how everything worked. After some thought, I decided to go ahead with their full 8-week course (an hour of training once a week).

The trainer I was assigned to work with (John) was extremely patient and knowledgeable. He noticed how nervous I was and helped tailor the exercises/lessons so that I could build my confidence as well as my bond with Rex. He made sure that each lesson was fun, and Rex was rewarded after some long sessions of focus. After the first lesson, I was feeling a bit down because the lesson didn't go as well as I had hoped. John explained that it often takes a second for the dog to adjust to our expectations. Once we did a bit more practice, I was amazed at how much Rex responded to each lesson.

Knowing that I was struggling with Rex's reactivity, John suggested that we take Rex out into some more public spaces. From cafes to dog parks, he helped me focus on keeping Rex calm while we got him exposed to various triggers. I've already seen a huge change in Rex's demeanor out in public.

Once you complete 5 weeks of lessons, you are allowed to take group classes. I've only gone to one of these so far, but it was amazing to see so many other people who were in the same boat as me with their dogs. John was extremely knowledgeable and knew exactly how to keep all of the dogs (and owners) calm. We had so much fun, and I can't wait to go to the next one.

Dog Training Elite New Mexico is an exceptional training service. The staff is personable and super friendly. I can't say enough about all of them. When I first started Tilly in the program, she was shy and timid. Now she has the confidence to shine! She even just passed the Public Access test with flying colors! I recommend Dog Training Elite to anyone and everyone who is looking to train their fur baby from the simplest obedience traning to the most complex.

Fabulous experience my dog loves learning with positive reinforcement and our trainer Robert was patient kind and a great instructor.

My wife and I have 3 Terrior mix dogs. They have been a handful. John and Kayla from Dog Training Elite have help us out a lot. They both bring great energy and knowledge to our Training sessions. We are currently in the obedience faze of the training and cant wait to start group sessions!

John did an amazing job with our pup. Our pup started showing reactive tendencies and would ignore any recalls. He would make people feel uncomfortable by his bark and appearance. After even a few sessions of just obedience trainings , our pup was starting to calm down. John really took his time and explained everything for us and was available whenever we had questions. Our pup is doing way better and is reactivity is way down. We will continue to go over the basics with him. Thank you to John and Elite Dog training for your time and guidance.

John was fantastic working with our puppy and us. He helped us make our training fun and less stressful, our two older dogs are also enjoying the results of our puppy's training. We are grateful for all the help John and the other staff provided.

We are very happy with our dog training through Elite Dog Training. Everyone with the company has been responsive and helpful. Our trainer, John, has been wonderful! He has really helped teach us and our dog and we are seeing great improvements! John has always been on time (early even) and kind. We’ve all had fun together, laughing and practicing with our dog. Now we look forward to the park training classes to continue on the journey. I definitely recommend Elite Dog Training!
